App: Contact Card Scanner (iOS)
Effective date: March 4, 2026
Overview
ContactCardScanner scans business cards into structured contact data. The OCR and extraction pipeline runs on-device using Apple frameworks (Vision, Core ML, and related system APIs). We do not operate a backend for card processing.
Information we collect
We do not collect your scanned card images, extracted contact data, or your scan history on our servers.
Information stored on your device
The app stores extracted contact data and (optionally) a local image associated with a scan on your device to power History and sharing features. You can delete items in-app; deleting a contact also removes its associated stored image file.
Camera permission
The app requests access to the camera to capture business card images for scanning. If you deny camera access, scanning will not function.
Sharing
When you choose to share your contact card (for example, via vCard or QR), the data is shared using Apple’s iOS share sheet and is sent only to the destinations you select.
In-app purchases
If you purchase a subscription or other in-app purchase, payments are processed by Apple via StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment details (such as credit card numbers). Apple may process personal data as part of your purchase; see Apple’s privacy information for details.
Analytics and advertising
We do not use third-party advertising SDKs. If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect.
Data retention
Your scan data remains on your device until you delete it in-app or uninstall the app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent version posted on this page.
